4 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Evan White went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's loss to the Astros. White seems to be a fixture at first base for Seattle but even in a shallow position, he doesn't offer much upside. White had a triple slash of .296/.361/.471 in the minors but only hit 32 home runs through 1011 plate appearances. Not only did White not hit many home runs for a first baseman, he also only hit 43 doubles throughout the minors. The low power numbers mixed with a lack of steals and batting fifth in a weak Mariners lineup should keep White on waivers.--Steve McCarthy - RotoBaller
