The All-Star entered a tie game in the ninth and yielded two knocks and two walks to squander the Friars chance to stay undefeated. He was yanked after exhausting 28 pitches and managing just two outs. Yates tossed a flawless frame Saturday in a non-save situation so this follow-up performance was discouraging.
