Justin Verlander Shut Down For A Couple Of Weeks
4 years agoUpdating a previous report, Houston Astros starting pitcher Justin Verlander (elbow) is going to be shut down for a couple of weeks and is not officially ruled out for the 2020 season as of yet. Verlander is dealing with a forearm strain. In a press conference, Astros manager Dusty Baker wouldn't commit to Verlander missing the entirety of the 2020 season, instead saying that Verlander would be shut down for a couple of weeks. Fantasy owners should hold onto Verlander for now. It appears as if Verlander will at least be missing a month or so, with the entirety of the 2020 season potentially at risk.
