Ken Giles Leaves With Apparent Injury
4 years agoToronto Blue Jays closer Ken Giles was removed from his outing in the ninth inning in Sunday's game versus the Rays and was replaced by Brian Moran. He recorded the first two outs quickly but went on to allow a double and two walks before getting lifted on a 3-1 count to Ji-Man Choi. Giles' velocity was down and was uncharacteristically wild with his pitches. Look for the Jays to update his status in the next day or two. Rafael Dolis or Anthony Bass would be in line for saves if Giles were to miss time.
