Trevor Gott Earns Save Saturday
4 years agoSan Francisco Giants relief pitcher Trevor Gott earned his first save and the Giants' first save in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Dodgers. Gott started the ninth inning up 5-3 and allowed a leadoff home run to Will Smith before retiring the heart of the order in order. The Giants had mentioned Tyler Rogers and Tony Watson as their lead closer candidates for the season, but both Watson and Rogers were used in the eighth inning of this game. Gott has never been fantasy relevant as he owns a 4.56 career ERA, so at this point it's anyone's guess who will see save opportunities for the Giants.
