Cesar Hernandez Plates Run In Season Opener
4 years agoCleveland Indians second baseman Cesar Hernandez went 1-for-4 with a double and an RBI during Friday's win over the Royals. Hernandez was the leadoff hitter in this one, and he is expected to hold that role through most of the season. The second baseman has spent the majority of his career at the top of the order, and he owns a .275 average and .753 OPS when hitting first. The news certainly boosts Hernandez's fantasy value, as he could now be a major factor in runs scored on a stacked offensive lineup.
