Brett Anderson Sidelined With Blister
4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brett Anderson (finger) will not throw for a couple days due to a blister on his throwing hand. The team will have an update on him early next week. Anderson had his intrasquad start cut short on Wednesday after two innings because of the blister. The 32-year-old left-hander is now questionable for Opening Day, but either way it doesn't sound too serious. Anderson was 13-9 with a 3.89 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and only 90 strikeouts in 176 innings pitched for Oakland in 2019. Projected to pitch near the back of Milwaukee's rotation this year, the southpaw is a low-upside NL-only target because of his lack of strikeouts.
