4 years agoIn Erik Van Rooyen’s three starts since the restart, he has missed the cut in the Charles Schwab Challenge as well as the Rocket Mortgage Classic. At the Rocket Mortgage, Van Rooyen averaged negative-0.95 stokes on approach and negative-1.20 tee to green, which certainly doesn’t project well for the Memorial. Van Rooyen is 37th in this field in strokes gained on approach and 38th off the tee, so the ball-striking is certainly there. If he can manage and stay neutral in strokes gained around the green and putting, then he can certainly return value on his $7,000 price tag.--Aaron Burger
