What's up, Ballers? It is time to kick back and enjoy the NASCAR All-Star Race at Bristol. I did not plan on writing anything today, but here are my general thoughts. The Tiered Rankings, Strategy Notes, and Youtube Series will return for the race Sunday.
First, it is probably a good time to scale back your total risk compared to other races. This is not one that I advise playing a large percentage of your bankroll.

Go Premium, Win More!In terms of strategy, it is pretty straight forward. The optimal strategy would be to play drivers starting furthest back. On the contrary, the more drivers you play starting in the front, the more likely you will be to have lesser owned drivers. So if you want “the most optimal” lineups go with drivers like Hamlin, Elliot, Jones, Logano, Brad K, etc.
If you want to avoid splitting a prize pool with several players with the same lineup, leave money on the table and limit how many “optimal” drivers you are using and prioritize a few guys starting in the front. A combination of the Busch brothers might be unique since Kyle B keeps screwing people over each week. Another idea of a combination to get some drivers inside the top 10 would be a trio of Kevin Harvick, Ryan Blaney, and Kurt Busch. Remember, the two scenarios just provided are more geared around GPP strategy. If I was providing rankings, all of these guys would be behind Elliot, Hamlin, and Jones.
Finally, if you are playing on DraftKings, make sure you pay attention to who qualifies for the final spots. DraftKings currently has them listed as questionable, but depending on who qualifies during “The Open,” we will most likely get some value options.
If you cannot be available to alter your lineups with the news of who qualifies, it would probably be a good slate to sit out or play low entry fee contests.
