Jorge Masvidal With A Chance To Pull Off A Miracle
4 years agoJorge Masvidal (35-13) has seen a true resurrection in his career, earning his first UFC title shot in his 49th professional bout. It's no secret that Masvidal has some of the best MMA boxing in the sport, shown by his 16 career knockouts. He also owns the fastest knockout in UFC history with his five-second flying-knee knockout of Ben Askren in July of 2019. His last three bouts have really rejuvenated his career. Prior to that he would win a few and lose a few. Posting 4.11 significant strikes per minute, it will be even more important that he utilize his 78% takedown defense. Only 13% of Masvidal's significant strikes have come on the ground, which is the favorite spot for his opponent. DraftKings has Masvidal listed at $7,300. His last three outings have all been 100-plus-point performances, but his average score is still just 76.4. Also, how much will it factor in that Masvidal's coach, Mike Brown, will be back at home due to a positive COVID-19 test?
