High Expectations For Luis Robert
4 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Luis Robert, MLB Pipeline's No. 3 overall prospect this year, is one of the favorites for the American League Rookie of the Year in 2020. The 22-year-old has five-tool talent and is projected by some pundits to be one of the game's next superstars. Robert has the ability to hit 30 homers and steal 30 bases in a full season, and he could also be a .300 hitter while providing sound defense in center field. The youngster hit .328 with a 1.001 OPS, 36 steals, 32 home runs, 108 runs and 92 RBI in stops with High-A Winston-Salem, Double-A Birmingham and Triple-A Charlotte last year. There's no denying the 6-foot-2, 210-pounder's lofty upside, which makes him a fringe top-30 fantasy outfielder, but make sure to bake in some ups and downs with Robert's 2020 projection in this shortened season.
