Multiple Red Sox Players Test Positive For COVID-19
4 years agoThe Boston Red Sox had multiple members of the team test positive for COVID-19 this week, according to a source in the organization. The players who tested positive will not be identified as instructed by Major League Baseball, with those players absent from Friday’s workout at Fenway Park due to their inability to participate at the start of summer camp. “We didn’t have everybody come in,” manager Ron Roenicke said. “We do have some positive tests. I won’t be able to give you names on these players.” Left-handed starter Eduardo Rodriguez was around an individual who tested positive, resulting in the 27-year-old staying in Florida for the time being.
