Bears Coaches Have High Hopes For Riley Ridley
4 years agoChicago Bears wide receiver Riley Ridley has plenty to prove after a non-descript rookie season in 2019. But receivers coach Mike Furrey has high hopes for the second-year wideout, telling reporters, "I think the biggest growth were going to see with anybody in our room is going to be Ridley." Ridley, whose brother Calvin plays for the Falcons, did not see the field until Thanksgiving of last year and caught only six passes for 69 yards in five games on the active roster. But the young receiver has an NFL frame and his route-running was touted coming out of college. The transition to the NFL was steep for Ridley last season but the Bears coaching staff is banking on the second-year receiver making some noise in 2020.
