Two Angels Players Test Positive For COVID-19
4 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels learned that two players in their organization have tested positive for COVID-19, according to general manager Billy Eppler. Eppler would not specify if the players were major leaguers or minor leaguers, but they hadn't been working out either in Anaheim or at the team's spring training complex in Tempe, Arizona. The Angels aren't the only team in Major League Baseball to have players/staff test positive for the coronavirus this week, which prompted the league to shut down all spring training facilities for deep cleaning. With the league and players union still trying to work out a compromise for a 2020 season, the novel virus is threatening to shut everything down once again.
