Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Josh Reynolds regressed in production last year by posting 21 receptions for 326 yards and one touchdown. The departure of Brandin Cooks to the Houston Texans has provided an opportunity for Reynolds due to the vacancy on the perimeter, but the team just selected Van Jefferson in the second round of this year’s NFL Draft. While Jefferson is unlikely to make a significant impact as a rookie, this move shows a lack of faith in Reynolds. The emergence of tight end Tyler Higbee also casts doubts on Reynolds’ outlook, since the team will now likely line up in more two-WR, two-TE sets as opposed to three-WR, one-TE formations. Higbee will combine with a returning Gerald Everett to give the Rams a strong group of tight ends. Reynolds finds himself as the fourth or fifth option in a Rams’ offense that has declined from a high octane group to more of a ball-control unit. Currently being drafted as WR83, Reynolds’ low ceiling makes him a player to avoid, since it’s more prudent to pursue lottery tickets with some upside at this stage of the draft. He has the look of a floor play at WR5, so you would be wise to invest elsewhere at the wide receiver position.--Frank Ammirante - RotoBaller

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Josh Reynolds (coach's decision) and running back D'Ernest Johnson (coach's decision) are both healthy scratches for Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. Reynolds was claimed off waivers from the Denver Broncos earlier this week, and while he has a chance to contribute amidst the Jaguars' numerous wide receiver injuries, it appears he'll need at least one more week to get integrated within the offense. Meanwhile, Johnson is inactive for the second week in a row as Jacksonville experiments with Keilan Robinson as its No. 3 running back behind Travis Etienne Jr. and Tank Bigsby. Both Reynolds and Johnson can be dropped to waivers in fantasy football.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

According to Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the Jacksonville Jaguars have claimed wide receiver Josh Reynolds. Reynolds was placed on the waivers by the Denver Broncos. The 29-year-old played in just the first five games of the regular season before suffering a finger fracture. During this stretch, Reynolds averaged 36.6 yards per game with 7.4 PPR points per game. With Jacksonville, fantasy managers should expect Reynolds to operate in a starting role, as several wideouts on that roster are on the injured reserve. While Brian Thomas Jr. will continue to see most of the opportunities alongside tight end Evan Engram, Reynolds is someone to monitor in deeper 3WR formats as he could carve out a viable role down the stretch.--Andy Smith - RotoBaller

The Denver Broncos waived wide receiver Josh Reynolds (hand) on Tuesday as they head into their bye week, according to the team. Reynolds has been on Injured Reserve since Week 5 and had his 21-day practice window opened ahead of the team's Week 11 win over the Atlanta Falcons. He has been practicing over the last three weeks and looked ready to return from his hand injury, but now he'll be on the open market and will be looking to latch on with another team with the 2024 campaign in the home stretch. Before his injury, Reynolds caught 12 passes for 183 yards and a touchdown in five games in Denver, back when rookie quarterback Bo Nix was struggling to move the offense consistently. With Reynolds now out of the picture for the rest of the year, it's good news for rookies Devaughn Vele and Troy Franklin and Marvin Mims Jr. and Lil'Jordan Humphrey behind WR1 Courtland Sutton.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Denver Broncos wide receiver Josh Reynolds (hand) has been downgraded from questionable to out for Monday night's contest against the visiting Cleveland Browns and he will remain on Injured Reserve head into next week's bye. Reynolds' 21-day activation window closes on Wednesday, though, so if the Broncos have visions of him contributing again this year, they must activate him from IR before that date. He has not played since Week 5 due to a hand injury that required surgery, and he also suffered gunshot wounds during an off-the-field incident. At the time of his injury, the 29-year-old was an untrustworthy WR4/5 in deeper fantasy leagues as a distant No. 2 behind Courtland Sutton. Since the injury, rookies Devaughn Vele and Troy Franklin and Lil'Jordan Humphrey and Marvin Mims Jr. have stepped up, so a limited role in the passing game should be expected for Reynold when/if he returns in 2024.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
