Hawks Are Seeking Backup Point Guard This Offseason
5 years agoAtlanta Hawks general manager Travis Schlenk recently said that the backup point guard position is something they need to address this offseason. Veteran Jeff Teague struggled to adjust to his role with the team after he arrived via trade from Minnesota. "I feel like a rookie out here. I’m playing nervous," said Teague. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. There's a good chance that Teague plays elsewhere next season, so the Hawks will need to fill that role, assuming Teague leaves. His fantasy value is going to depend on where he signs, but Teague won't have great upside on most teams. The Hawks will look to add some depth this offseason, but Trae Young will continue to run the show at point guard.
