Bills Sign Six Draft Picks, Including Jake Fromm, A.J. Epenesa
Jake Fromm and defensive end second-round A.J. Epenesa agree to deals with Buffalo. Fromm will compete with Matt Barkley for backup duties in Buffalo this season. He threw 78 career passing touchdowns with 18 interceptions during his three years at Georgia. He might not be a starter in the NFL, but at least a capable reserve player. Epenesa is coming off a 2019 season where he recorded 49 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 11.5 sacks through 13 games. He has tremendous potential and should make an immediate impact in Buffalo. The organization has also signed receivers Gabriel Davis, Isaiah Hodgins, kicker Tyler Bass, and defensive back Dane Jackson to four-year deals. All four of them will compete for a spot on the active roster in camp.

Lions Sign Jake Fromm
Jake Fromm on Monday, according to NFL insider Ari Meirov. This move comes just days after backup quarterback Hendon Hooker (head) entered concussion protocol. Head coach Dan Campbell said he doesn't expect Hooker back until later this week. Fromm, a 2020 fifth-round pick out of Georgia, has spent time with the Buffalo Bills, New York Giants, and Washington Commanders. He's played in just three regular-season games and completed under 50% of his passes for 210 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions. He now joins a quarterback room with Hooker, Jared Goff, and Nate Sudfeld. It would be a surprise if he sticks around and makes the Week 1 53-man roster.

Commanders Release Jake Fromm
Jake Fromm on Tuesday, according to NFL.com. The former Georgia Bulldog was a fifth-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills and spent the last two seasons with Washington after a brief stint with the New York Giants. Despite being in the league for four seasons, he has thrown just 60 passes, completing 27 of them for 210 yards and one touchdown to go along with three interceptions. The Commanders signed Marcus Mariota this offseason and added rookies Jayden Daniels and Sam Hartman to their quarterback room, so Fromm became expendable. The 25-year-old is unlikely to earn playing time anytime soon barring a slew of injuries around the NFL.

Jake Fromm Released By Washington
Jake Fromm was informed by the Washington Commanders that he did not make the initial 53-man roster. The former Georgia quarterback played in all three preseason games for Washington, finishing 28-for-41 for 261 yards and three touchdowns. His strong exhibition play included leading a game-winning drive against the Baltimore Ravens. The Commanders opted to keep veteran Jacoby Brissett on the roster to back up starter Sam Howell. If Fromm goes unclaimed on waivers, he's a strong candidate to end up back in Washington and dress for games under the NFL's new rules.

Jake Fromm Works Out With Giants
Jake Fromm on Tuesday. The Giants are dealing with injuries to each of their top two quarterbacks as Daniel Jones has an ankle injury and Tyrod Taylor is in the league's concussion protocol. Fromm was in town as a contingency plan in case neither Jones nor Taylor is able to take the field in Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers in London. Fromm appeared in three games for the Giants in 2021, completing 27 of his 60 passes for 210 yards, one touchdown, and three interceptions.
