A.J. Puk Says Shoulder Is Feeling Better
5 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher A.J. Puk (shoulder) has been playing catch from 120 feet as he recovers from a shoulder injury sustained during Spring Training. Puk only threw 36 2/3 innings last season, and didn't pitch in 2018 due to Tommy John surgery, so he is a player that stands to gain fantasy value due to the shutdown. Puk said that his shoulder feels as good as it has in a while, and that this shoulder soreness is part of the recovery process when pitching after surgery. The top-prospect would've likely had his innings managed, but now it seems likely he'll be in the rotation all year which would make him a steal at his 235th overall average draft position.
