5 years agoThe Jacksonville Jaguars agreed to a five-year, $53.75 million deal with former Cleveland Browns linebacker Joe Schobert on Tuesday, according to a source. Schobert will receive an average of $10.75 million per season, $12 million to sign and $22.5 million in guarantees. The 26-year-old from Wisconsin had 408 combined tackles (252 solo), 8.5 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, 19 QB hits, six interceptions and 20 passes defensed in his fours with Cleveland. He was a Pro Bowler in 2017 and compiled 133 tackles (89 solo), seven tackles for loss, four QB hits, four interceptions, nine passes defensed, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery in 2019. He's an exceptional playmaker in the middle of the field and has had 100-plus combined tackles each of the last three seasons.
