Zach Britton Suffers Bruised Right Wrist
5 years agoUpdating a previous report, New York Yankees relief pitcher Zach Britton (wrist) was hit by a line drive during live batting practice on Wednesday but got good news after undergoing tests. X-rays and a CT scan came back negative for Britton, and he was diagnosed with a bruised wrist. Since Britton avoided a fracture and was hit in his non-throwing wrist, fantasy owners should expect the 32-year-old to be ready for Opening Day. Britton should once again be an elite fantasy option in leagues that value holds, as he’s posted an ERA below 2.00 in four of the last six seasons and the Yankees are projected to win more than 100 games in 2020. Fantasy owners should keep an eye on Britton’s wrist in case anything changes, but plan for Britton to be ready for the start of the season.
