Chris Driedger Strong In Panthers' Win
5 years agoThe Florida Panthers defeated the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 4-1 on Saturday night. Back-up goalie Chris Driedger turned aside 33 of 34 shots. He’s allowed a combined three goals over the past two games (62 shots). Starting goalie Sergei Bobrovsky has been out with a lower-body injury. Mike Hoffman had a goal and an assist which ended a mini two-game scoreless stretch. He has seven goals in his past 10 games. Lucas Wallmark scored his first goal with his new club after coming over from the Carolina Hurricanes at the trade deadline. Aaron Ekblad had two helpers. He has a career-high 41 points in 66 games. Montreal’s rookie forward Jake Evans scored the lone goal in the losing effort. He now has two goals in 12 games.
