Three Assist Night From Matthew Tkachuk Leads Flames in Win
5 years agoCalgary Flames forward Matthew Tkachuk picked up an assist on all three Calgary goals Friday night as the Flames beat the Coyotes 3-2. The three points extend a red-hot run for the young winger, who has recorded at least a point in 13 of his last 15 games with 18 total points in that span. Tkachuk has been a model of consistency lately, but despite that, he is still on pace to fall short of the 77 points that he put up last year as he has 60 points in 68 games this year. That slight drop can mostly be attributed to his shooting percentage coming back down to earth after posting a 16.4 percent shooting percentage last season. His current 11.8 percent shooting percentage is much more in-line with his career average (12.9) percent and likely close to what we can expect from him in the future. The only downside is that the Flames play only two games next week, limiting the impact Tkachuk can have for fantasy playoffs.
