Ryan Borucki Progressing Slowly
5 years agoToronto Blue Jays reliever Ryan Borucki (elbow) threw from 120 feet on Thursday as he's slowly working his way back from missing nearly the entire 2019 campaign. The left-hander was limited to just under 25 innings pitched last year after undergoing elbow surgery in August. He still has time to crack the Opening Day roster in the Jays bullpen, but he may need some conditioning in the minors to begin the season. Borucki could see some starts throughout the season with the club relying on several aging hurlers to carry the rotation, but he'll have to prove he can stay healthy first. Borucki can be left off the fantasy radar for now, but he could hold some AL-only value if he works his way into a starting role at some point.
