5 years agoAric Almirola has struggled at Auto Club Speedway during his career. He has progressively been improving at the track across the past four races there, however. Almirola has an average finish of 14.3, and an average running position of 15.5 in Fontana. This will be Almirola's second start at the speedway with Stewart-Haas Racing, finishing ninth last year. He qualified 6th for the race on Sunday. Based on average lap data from the practice sessions on Friday, the No. 10 Ford Mustang appears to be set up for the long runs, which tend to happen at the flat, intermediate tracks on the NASCAR schedule. Almirola is valued at 14th for DFS, so owners will want to be wary about whether or not to place them in their lineups.--Daniel Bragg
