Texans Discussing Extension For Laremy Tunsil
5 years agoThe Houston Texans have met with left tackle Laremy Tunsil's representation to discuss a contract extension that could make him the highest-paid offensive lineman in the NFL. Philadelphia's Lane Johnson currently holds that distinction with a $72 million deal that includes $55.845 million guaranteed and averages $18 million per season. Houston traded two first-round picks to acquire Tunsil from the Dolphins last season, and it was worth it, as he solidified the blind side and helped protect franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson. Tunsil sticking around long-term would be more good news for Watson.
