Kyle Freeland Recovers Well From Back Spasms
5 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Kyle Freeland (back) had to cut Thursday's start short when he suddenly suffered severe back spasms. Fortunately, it appears a night of rest helped him out tremendously. Freeland told reporters on Friday that the overnight relaxation has led to him feeling much better. He also pointed out that spring training is the perfect time to exit a start early since the point is to be fully healthy when the regular season begins. Freeland was one of the hardest hit starters in the league last year after a stellar 2018. His underlying numbers support that he should be avoided again this year, but he has expressed to reporters that he thinks he's figured out his problems. It's recommended that fantasy owners avoid him in mixed leagues until he can back those claims up with some evidence.
