Felix Hernandez Looks Sharp In Spring Debut
5 years agoAtlanta Braves starter Felix Hernandez tossed two scoreless innings without allowing a hit during Saturday's Grapefruit League win over the Baltimore Orioles. He walked one batter while striking out two. The 33-year-old is currently fighting for the last spot in the Braves starting rotation, and appearances like this will help his case. Nevertheless, Hernandez compiled a 15-27 record to go along with a 5.42 ERA over the past three seasons, so it will take a bit more for him to earn the trust of fantasy owners. If the former Cy Young winner does get a spot in the rotation, he is a valid option in deeper mixed leagues and NL-only formats.
