Andre Burakovsky Scores 20th Goal in Win
5 years agoAlthough beset by injuries, the Colorado Avalanche still managed a 3-1 victory over the New York Islanders on Wednesday night. Restricted-free-agent-to-be Andre Burakovsky hit the 20-goal mark for the first time in his career. He has three goals over his past four games. His 45 points are also a career-high. Nathan MacKinnon and Cale Makar both had two helpers each. MacKinnon has eight points in the last five games. Makar has 45 points in 51 games as a rookie defenseman. Joonas Donskoi’s goal was his first 13 games. Pavel Francouz turned aside 27 of 28 shots to improve to 14-5-3 with a GAA of 2.44 and SV% of .923. Brock Nelson had the lone goal for the Islanders. It was his 46 point in 59 games.
