Philipp Grubauer Out Indefinitely With Lower-Body Injury
5 years agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Philipp Grubauer will be out for an indefinite amount of time after suffering a lower-body injury in his team's 3-1 Stadium Series loss to the Los Angeles Kings on Saturday. The 28-year-old sustained the injury in the third period following a collision in his crease with Avs defenseman Ian Cole. Avs head coach Jared Bednar stated that the team should know more about Grubauer's status later this week, as the German netminder is still being evaluated and undergoing further testing. Grubauer has posted 18 wins, a 2.63 goals-against average and a .916 save percentage in 36 starts in 2019-2020. Expect goaltender Pavel Francouz (31% owned in Yahoo! leagues) to take over starting duties while Grubauer remains sidelined.
