Saints Want Drew Brees Back In 2020
Drew Brees back as long as he wants to keep playing. "No different than it’s been the last few years, even though he’s technically a free agent. "It’s easy to take him for granted yet I don’t take him for granted," Loomis said. Despite just turning 41 years old, Brees still has some juice left in the tank. He played in just 11 games due to a freak finger injury in 2019, but he still completed 74.3 percent of his passes for 2,979 yards, 27 touchdowns and four interceptions. The ceiling won't be as high if Brees returns for another season, but he'll still have QB1 upside in the right matchups, mainly at home in the Superdome if he re-signs with the Saints.

Drew Brees Not Serious About NFL Comeback
Drew Brees (shoulder) over the years, isn't taking Brees' recent social media posts about unretiring seriously. Brees underwent left shoulder surgery two weeks ago and would be physically unable to play until at least September or October, according to a source. It was pretty much assumed that Brees' comments about unretiring recently were made in jest, so this report from Werder shouldn't come as a huge surprise to anyone. The 43-year-old will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer when his time comes, but he won't be following in the footsteps of Tom Brady this year. The New Orleans Saints are fully committed to quarterback Jameis Winston at this point.
