Buffalo Sabres forward Evan Rodrigues picked up his first goal of the season early in the first period, and quickly added his second only a few minutes later, as Buffalo downed Detroit. His second goal came on the power play, giving him his first power-play point of the season as well. It has been a long season for Rodrigues, who was goalless in 25 games, but as the game went on, he was given more opportunity and ultimately finished the game on a line with Jack Eichel and Sam Reinhart. Five points in 26 games are not enough to have fantasy players rushing to the waiver wire, but if Rodrigues can parlay this performance into an extended look alongside Eichel and Reinhart, he could become a valuable budget option in daily formats and deeper leagues.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
