D.K. Metcalf Could Do It Again
5 years agoSeattle Seahawks wide receiver D.K. Metcalf was the star of the show last week when he hung 160 yards on the Philadelphia Eagles in his first playoff game. Now, he'll head into the teeth of the monster when he faces a much stingier Green Bay defense in freezing temperatures on Sunday night. While the Packers Defense is tougher, they can also be spread out and abused if a team's routes are drawn up just right. In Week 15 against the Bears, the Packers gave up 100 receiving yards to two different wideouts thanks to Chicago spreading Allen Robinson out wide while Anthony Miller worked the middle of the field from the slot. Granted, it was against some soft prevent defense, but it showed that a team with that combo could make some hay. Seattle brings that kind of combination with Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, and fantasy owners should expect that they'll be looking for those opportunities. Metcalf could still find himself scoring from a long way out.
