Hideki Matsuyama Looking For Better Result In Sony Open
5 years agoHideki Matsuyama is in the field for the Sony Open. Matsuyama heads to Hawaii on the heels of two top-three finishes during the PGA's 'Asia Swing', but he has traditionally struggled on this Waialae Country Club layout. The Japanese superstar's best Sony Open finish was a T27 in 2017. He recorded a T51 in the 2019 edition. Despite the mediocre course history, Matsuyama is an elite ball striker and could pop at any time if he makes putts. He's a strong contrarian play in DFS tournaments this week.
