Mackensie Alexander To Have Surgery
5 years agoMinnesota Vikings cornerback Mackensie Alexander (knee) will have arthroscopic surgery for a small tear in his lateral meniscus and will miss the Divisional Round against the 49ers, according to a source. However, if the Vikings pull off the upset of San Francisco and advance to the NFC title game, Alexander could be back. Minnesota pulled off a huge upset over New Orleans on the road in the wild-card game, but their secondary remains vulnerable. Andrew Sendejo and Holton Hill will help replace Alexander against the 49ers this Saturday. Alexander's absence will be good news for wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders out of the slot.
