Vikings Defense Is Short-Handed Versus Saints
5 years agoThe Minnesota Vikings Defense will be playing with depleted secondary depth on Sunday, as cornerbacks Mackenzie Alexander (knee) and Mike Hughes (neck) have been ruled out against the New Orleans Saints. First-team All-Pro Eric Kendricks (quadriceps) wasn't listed on the team's final injury report, which is clearly a huge boost for this defense. However, the prospects of Saints quarterback Drew Brees and wide receiver Michael Thomas going against an injury-riddled, poorly-rated secondary don't point to a great day for this defensive unit as a whole. Expect plenty of points to be scored in this game, as it has Vegas' highest projected total in the wild-card round. View the Vikings Defense as a contrarian tournament play in large daily fantasy tournaments.
