Michael Davis Makes Interception Count
5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers cornerback Michael Davis provided the third interception of the afternoon against vaunted quarterback Patrick Mahomes, but Davis' was the first one to count after the refs got involved. Two early interceptions of Mahomes were overturned due to rule infractions, so when Davis caught the pass that hit him square in the chest on the second play of the third quarter, it was a huge change in the game. Davis' interception would lead to a go-ahead touchdown, but the lead was short-lived. The Chargers Defense was immediately hamstrung by the special teams unit when the ensuing kickoff was returned for 104 yards and a touchdown. The Chargers defense has some seriously good pieces, but improvement will be needed if they're to be a regular fantasy force next season.
