It was the fourth consecutive win for Markstrom, who faced his heaviest workload of the season. Vancouver also had 31 blocks, led by Alexander Edler with seven blocks, which underscores how one-sided the chances were in this game. Teammate Thatcher Demko had missed time recovering from a concussion, but even now that he has returned, the starter's role seems to be safely in Markstrom's hands as he has started each of the last nine games.
