Jeff Skinner to Miss Up to Four Weeks for Buffalo
5 years agoBuffalo Sabres forward Jeff Skinner was injured in Friday's matchup, and according to the team he will miss the next three to four weeks with an upper-body injury. No further details regarding the injury were released by the team, but there is speculation that it is a shoulder injury. Skinner has been inconsistent this season, scoring only 19 points in 39 games, but he did score 40 goals last season and his absence leaves Buffalo without one of their top scoring threats. Skinner's shooting percentage this year was only 8.6 percent, very similar to his mark from two seasons ago (8.7 percent) when he scored 24 goals in 82 games. Just as injuries defined the early part of Skinner's career, large fluctuations in shooting percentage have defined the rest of it. Skinner can be safely dropped if you do not have room to stash him, but pencil him onto your watch list for a month from now.
