Los Angeles Rams running back Malcolm Brown could wind up playing a big role in Week 17 against the Arizona Cardinals. Starting running back Todd Gurley has been rumored likely to sit out or not play much, and rookie running back Darrell Henderson (ankle) has been ruled out. Brown hasn't done much of anything the last few weeks, but he could wind up being a booming flex play against the Arizona Cardinals if Gurley sits.--Ryan Dodson

Los Angeles Rams running back Malcolm Brown (hamstring) didn't practice Thursday. He has yet to practice this week and is trending in the wrong direction toward playing in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. The 29-year-old will have one more chance on Friday to practice to be cleared for Week 10. He hasn't had much of a role in the Rams' rushing attack and has 14 carries for 34 yards over five games in 2022. Brown is buried on the running back depth chart behind Darrell Henderson Jr., Cam Akers, and Kyren Williams (ankle) and is not on the fantasy radar against the Cardinals in Week 10.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller

The Los Angeles Rams elevated running back Malcolm Brown and offensive tackle Chandler Brewer from the practice squad to the active roster for Monday night's contest against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. The 29-year-oLD Brown won't have much of a role at all on Monday behind Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson Jr. and Jake Funk. Browns spent the first six seasons of his NFL career with the Rams before playing in seven games (three starts) for the Miami Dolphins last year, when he had just 33 carries for 125 yards and one touchdown while adding three catches for 10 yards. Unless LA's backfield is decimated by injuries on Monday night, it's highly unlikely that we'll see Brown on the field.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

The Los Angeles Rams have signed running back Malcolm Brown to a one-year deal. The veteran back is expected to join the practice squad. This appears to be a move to add depth to the roster. In theory, the Rams should be fine as long as Darrell Henderson Jr. and Cam Akers can stay healthy. The 29-year-old has spent six years with the team, so he knows the organization well. He would likely only be on the fantasy radar if Henderson or Akers were forced to miss time.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

The Saints released running back Malcolm Brown on Wednesday, only a few weeks after inking a contract with the team. The 29-year-old played his first six years in the league with the Rams, finishing with 11 touchdowns during that span. However, after signing a one-year deal with Miami last offseason, he went on to play just seven games for the Dolphins before landing on injured reserve. Brown is a capable runner, so he may draw interest from other teams throughout the NFL. Still, even if he signs with another club this season, he's not expected to receive enough touches to make any noise on the fantasy end.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
