The 30-year-old bounced back from Monday's loss to the Blue Jackets with his 17th win of the season, while improving his record to 17-4-4 along with a 2.75 goals-against average and .911 save percentage. With the victory, Holtby moves into a second-place tie with Jets netminder Connor Hellebuyck, trailing only Maple Leafs netminder Frederik Andersen. Holtby and the Capitals sit atop the NHL standings with a commanding lead, making the veteran a must-start goaltender on a nightly basis.
