5 years agoColorado Avalanche goaltender Pavel Francouz will be in between the pipes as his team takes on the Colorado Avalanche at the United Center on Wednesday. The 29-year-old last manned the crease on Friday - a night in which he spit aside 38 of 39 shots against while securing a 3-1 victory against the New Jersey Devils. Despite starting netminder Philipp Grubauer having recently returned from injury, the Avalanche are electing to go with the hot hand in Francouz, as he's posted an immaculate 1.90 goals-against average and a .940 save percentage in his past five starts.
