Daniel Jones On Track To Start Sunday
5 years agoNew York Giants rookie quarterback Daniel Jones (ankle) was working with the first-team offense again on Wednesday and is on track to return as the starting signal-caller for Week 16 against the Redskins. The 22-year-old missed the last two games with a mild high ankle sprain, but he'll be back under center to close out the year after Eli Manning filled in the last two weeks. Jones has shown signs of being the franchise's future starter, but he's also struggled with turnovers (11 interceptions) in his 11 games. The matchup is nice -- he was 23-for-31 for 225 yards, a TD and two interceptions against Washington on Sept. 29 -- but Jones remains a volatile QB2 for fantasy owners to close out his rookie campaign.
