5 years agoSt. Louis Blues forward Robert Thomas recorded a trio of primary assists in the third period of his team's eventual 4-3 home victory over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday. Trailing 3-0 with just over 15 minutes remaining in the final frame, Thomas took his game to the next level and helped ignite a four-goal burst in regulation to earn the full two points. Thomas' strong performance is yet another reminder of the game-breaking skill that the 20-year-old possesses and provides hope for continued production as Thomas completes the first half of just his second season in the NHL. With 16 points (four goals, 12 assists) in 29 contests, Thomas isn't a player fantasy owners should flock to the waivers to grab right now. However, Thomas is certainly a player to continue monitoring to see if he can sustain this high level of play throughout a number of games.
