New York Islanders left wing Anthony Duclair (illness) will be back in the lineup on Sunday against the Florida Panthers. He returns to the fold after sitting out Saturday's overtime win against the Tampa Bay Lightning with an illness. Duclair will take a top-line role, with Mathew Barzal (undisclosed) out. A spot on a scoring line could give Duclair a much-needed jolt offensively. The 29-year-old has contributed only four goals and four assists in 22 contests. He has picked up two points (one goal, one assist) over his past 14 appearances.

New York Islanders left wing Anthony Duclair (illness) is expected to come out of the lineup on Saturday against the Tampa Bay Lightning. He was unable to skate Saturday morning due to an illness, and Stefen Rosner of The Hockey News reports that Pierre Engvall will replace Duclair in the lineup against Tampa Bay. Duclair has been limited to four goals and eight points in 22 games this season, so he might benefit from having some time off. The season hasn't gone well for Engvall either, as the Swedish forward has posted seven points (three goals, four assists) in 33 contests.

New York Islanders left wing Anthony Duclair (leg) will be sidelined for 4-6 weeks. He suffered a leg injury in a game against Montreal last weekend. The 29-year-old has potted two goals with one assist in his first five appearances for the Islanders. Simon Holmstrom has been promoted to Duclair's spot on the first line. Holmstrom's work in 2024-25 includes two assists and three shots on goal in six games. The team needs much more from him and the rest of the frontline, as the Islanders have already been shut out three times this season.
