5 years agoChicago Bulls center Wendell Carter Jr. was energetic in limited action against the Hawks, scoring 11 points and grabbing 10 rebounds in just 22 minutes of action. Carter seems to have found a nice rhythm on the glass, as this win against the Hawks was his fifth double-double across six games, where he also shot five of eight from the field. His points and rebounds are up from his rookie season, as is his field-goal percentage. Carter is entrenched in the starting center position, and the only thing that could derail his solid production at this point is the type of injury that derailed his inaugural NBA season.--Daniel Lubofsky - RotoBaller

2 days agoOrlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. (hip) won't play on Friday against the Pacers. He logged 22 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Boston Celtics. However, the Magic are locked into the Play-In tournament, so Orlando also won't have Franz Wagner (knee), Paolo Banchero (ankle), and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (knee) in the lineup on Friday evening. But as far as Carter is directly concerned, Goga Bitadze will likely fill the void in the middle, with the 25-year-old averaging 9.1 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 41 starts this season.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

5 months agoOrlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. (foot) is unavailable for Monday's contest versus the Charlotte Hornets due to left foot plantar fasciitis. Carter has been considered questionable for several games recently, which could mean he will return soon. With the 25-year-old still out and recovering, centers Goga Bitadze and Moritz Wagner will continue to see an uptick in minutes on the court for Orlando, who have won eight of 11 games while Carter has been out.--Andrew Lennox - RotoBaller

5 months agoOrlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. (foot) has been listed as questionable for Monday's game against Charlotte. He has been considered questionable for several games recently before getting ruled out ahead of tip-off. However, it's a sign that Carter Jr. is nearing a return. The 25-year-old has sat out 11 straight games. Carter Jr.'s eventual return will be a bad blow for Goga Bitadze, who's had a good spell during his absence as a starter. Bitadze logged only a handful of minutes when Carter Jr. was healthy. Moritz Wagner will lose some playing time as well, but his spot in the rotation is secure.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller

5 months agoOrlando Magic center Wendell Carter Jr. (foot) won't play in Saturday's meeting with the Detroit Pistons. He was questionable early on Saturday, so there was a chance he would return. However, the 25-year-old will now miss his eleventh-straight game and his twelfth of the 2024-25 campaign. With Carter remaining on the shelf, Goga Bitadze should continue to take his spot in the rotation. Bitadze has played well in his 10 starts, averaging 9.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks, keeping him relevant in all fantasy setups.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
