Austin Ekeler Could Be A Sleeper Against Denver
5 years agoLos Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler has been all over the map recently, but his performance last week should give owners hope that the LA coaching staff has figured out a better use for him. Ekeler only touched the ball five times a month ago, but he's topped 12 touches in two of the team's last three games. He's been especially devastating against defenses in the passing game, racking up 108 receiving yards two weeks ago against the Chiefs. With LA facing a Denver defense that can shut down the outside receivers and put up a stout front against the run game, short passes into the hands of a playmaker like Ekeler could be the magic formula to help LA break out of their current funk. Whether they actually give him the chances remains to be seen.
