Devonta Freeman A Flex Play In Week 13
5 years agoAtlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman (foot) returned to practice without limitations on Tuesday and should be good to go for Week 13 against the Saints. Freeman has had a rough year running the ball, but his struggles gained some promising context when the team's running game plummeted even further with him out. Brian Hill served as the team's No. 1 running back the past two weeks and managed just 44 rushing yards on 24 carries. Freeman should return to No. 1 back status and see around 15 touches in the game. The Saints have a tough run defense, but Freeman should be able to do some solid damage through the air. Expect about five catches and a total of 60 or 70 yards from scrimmage for Freeman in his return, making him a decent flex option.
