Detroit Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard had one of his better outings of the season on Sunday against Carolina, but the team failed to provide any goal support for him and the 35-year-old netminder had to settle for his 11th loss of the season. Howard saved 34 of 35 shots and kept the team in the game, but the Wings had just eight total shots across the last two periods of play and lost 2-0 in the end. Howard's record for the season is now at 2-10-1, he owns a 3.74 goals-against average and a .890 save percentage. It's been a real struggle playing behind a poor team that's scoring a league-low 2.27 goals per game.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
