Alec Burks Scores 29 Points In Win Over Memphis
5 years agoGolden State Warriors guard Alec Burks scored a season-high 29 points on 60 percent shooting from the field in a 114-95 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Burks added eight rebounds, two assists, two triples, a block, and a steal. The 28-year-old bounced back after two poor shooting performances, taking advantage of the continued absence of D'Angelo Russell (thumb) to post his second game this year with 25+ points. Burks has played at least 30 minutes in three straight games and should have more chances to score like this until Russell returns in about two weeks. He'll take on the Dallas Mavericks tomorrow, who rank 22nd in opponent three-point percentage.

Alec Burks Questionable To Play Against Hawks
2 days agoMiami Heat guard/forward Alec Burks (back) has been labeled questionable for Thursday's contest against the Atlanta Hawks. Filling in for Duncan Robinson (back) in the starting unit on Tuesday against the Golden State Warriors, Burks turned some heads with a 17-point effort in 24 minutes. But he may now join Robinson on the sidelines Thursday night due to a back issue. Jaime Jaquez Jr. had just a few minutes on the court against the Warriors, but if both Robinson and Burks can't play on Thursday, he could step up and take on a much more significant role.

Alec Burks Returns To Heat Lineup
1 week agoMiami Heat guard/forward Alec Burks (back) will return to work on Wednesday against the Detroit Pistons. He has been cleared to return from a seven-game absence. Before injuring his back, Burks had started in three consecutive games. On Wednesday, he will come off the bench, which will limit Burks' fantasy value. As a reserve, Burks has contributed only 5.9 points per game in 16.7 minutes this season. Tyler Herro, Duncan, Robinson, Jaime Jaquez Jr., Bam Adebayo, and Kel'el Ware will start Wednesday's contest for the Heat.

Alec Burks Sits Out Fourth Consecutive Game
2 weeks agoMiami Heat guard/forward Alec Burks (back) will not be available for Wednesday's showdown against the Los Angeles Clippers. The veteran is dealing with a back strain and has been ruled out for the contest after the team initially listed him as questionable. Before exiting the lineup, Burks played over 20 minutes in four straight appearances. However, this occurred during a period when the Heat were missing several key players, and Burks generally lacks significant fantasy value under normal circumstances.
