Jonathan Williams Shows Out In Week 11
Jonathan Williams finished Week 11 against Jacksonville with 13 carries for 116 yards, including a long run of 48 yards. After starter Marlon Mack (hand) left the game, Williams was the running back they wanted to lean on to preserve the lead, and he was exactly what they were looking for. He also was able to catch his lone target for 31 yards on the afternoon. Mack is expected to be out for Week 12, and, as well as he played against the Jaguars, Williams could see his role increase for Thursday's game against Houston.

Jonathan Williams Suffers Concussion On Sunday
Jonathan Williams (head) didn't return to Sunday's matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. With Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) unavailable, Williams was in the lineup for Week 15. However, he was ruled out with a concussion, ending his day with one carry for negative yardage. At any rate, Williams was on the field versus the Rams for depth purposes, so the injury won't impact fantasy managers heading into the Week 16 meeting with the New York Jets.

Jonathan Williams Heading To Injured Reserve
Jonathan Williams (undisclosed) on injured reserve. That means rookie sixth-round pick Chris Rodriguez Jr. wins the No. 3 running back job, behind Brian Robinson Jr. and Antonio Gibson. The 29-year-old Williams started two games for the Commanders in 2022, ending the season with 37 carries for 152 yards. He also caught seven passes for 40 yards in 13 games.

Jonathan Williams At No. 3 On Depth Chart
Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson are at the top of the team's RB depth chart, with Jonathan Williams operating as the No. 3 option. Meanwhile, rookie sixth-rounder Chris Rodriguez Jr. is just trying to get as many repetitions as possible heading into his first NFL season. Williams may have to hold off Rodriguez and Jaret Patterson for touches in 2023 behind Robinson and Gibson, but the 29-year-old can also contribute on special teams. In his second year with Washington in 2022, Williams had 37 carries for 152 yards and caught seven passes for 40 yards in 13 games (two starts). Unless one of Robinson or Gibson miss time with an injury, Williams will remain off the fantasy radar this year.

Jonathan Williams Re-Signs With Washington
Jonathan Williams has agreed to a one-year deal to remain in Washington. The 29-year-old was used sparingly outside special teams last season, finishing with 152 yards off 37 carries while amassing seven catches for 40 yards. Williams' role with the Commanders likely won't change, so he won't see much interest from managers during fantasy drafts heading into Week 1.
